Lago Colbún
Park

Give back to the land what it once had.

Located in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems, and at the same time, one of the most threatened in Chile, lies the Lago Colbún Park.

It is situated in the Maule River basin and spans 491 hectares of native forest in various stages of regeneration.

The Maulino forest is a unique ecosystem with high diversity, where the sclerophyllous vegetation of central Chile converges with the temperate vegetation of the southern part of the country.

The reserve is home to plant species such as Litre, Radal, Boldo, Oak, and Hualo, the latter of which is in a vulnerable state of conservation, and animals like the cururo, seven colors bird, and the owl, among other species.

Additionally, it is located just 15 km from Rari, one of the 6 towns designated as a World Craft City for its unique miniature basketry work made with horsehair.

Get involved in the regeneration of lands that, until just 3 months ago, were exploited by a forestry company, and be part of a socio-ecological restoration process.
